I post this article from Xinhua news agency, which is an official news agency of China, as an example of the agency’s numerous mouth pieces role for a state of Sri Lanka. In fact, Xinhua has ever played that kind along with a state of China over a period of ‘massacre styled counter-insurgency’ in Sri Lanka in recent years.

Majority of international community and international media have expressed their concerns over what is said to be a controversial but chilling video, where seemingly Sri Lankan forces committed extra-judical killings of naked, unarmed & blind folded (allegdly)Tamil men ‘with laugh’. 

Nevertheless Xinhua goes ahead…on behalf of possible war criminals? Voila!

“Sri Lanka says UK TV channel story a canard”,

COLOMBO, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) — A television story carried over British channel 4 station was a canard to discredit Sri Lanka, a defense ministry statement here said Monday.

    The statement said that Sri Lankan Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapakse had asked for a senior government official to proceed to Britain to investigate on the television report.

    The UK channel 4 had carried footage of an alleged execution of two Tamils believed to be Tamil Tiger rebels by government troops in the north during the military battle which ended with defeat to Tigers’ 30-year-old campaign.

    Human Rights Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe told reporters that the video had been proved fake by Sri Lankan investigations and he had conveyed it to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon last week.

    The UN special rapporteur on human rights Philip Alston had called for a probe on the video.

    Sri Lanka maintained that the video was an attempt to discredit the government after certain Western forces had failed in their attempt to prevent the Tamil Tigers from total annihilation.
